  Thank you for your hospitality! Lovely people. Lovely food, lovely atmosphere. A good place to relax and chill out for a few nights at the end of a long walk.

  We did the caminho this september and after that we wanted to relax a little bit in Finisterre (by the way a very fantastic place to be). Some people told us that the Albergue do Sol is very nice so we checked in there. It is a little special but if you like that kind of albergue it is quiet nice. We met a lot of very friendly people there! Before we wanted to go to bed we sat down on our beds and wrote down what happened the last days. My friend was looking up and saw a bedbug walking on my bed. We checked if there were more bedbugs and saw another one under my bed. So we took our bagpacks and left in the middle of the night. The next morning we went back to tell them that there were bedbugs in our room und because to get back our money since we paied in advance. And now I going to tell you the reason for the one star rating. The woman from the reception tried to minimize the incident. She asked if we are sure that it were budbugs (yes and we showed her one), she said that this are only insects and we should not be so nervous about the fact that there are some. Then she asked if we were sure that we didn'r bring them (we didn't cause the one we showed her was dead and how is a dead creature supposed to crawl.off our bagpacks?) and a lot of more things I didn't expect at this case (I only expected an apology and my money back for this night). Then she told us that she can't give us our money because the boss is not in the house so we had to come back later. On top she aked us to not tell anybody because the words spread quick when an albergue has bedbugs.

  The receptionist took us to the boss and then it was getting really crazy. He didn't want to give us the money back because he couldn't give the room to another person (maybe better when there are budbugs?!), that there were no budbugs (but we showed the woman from the reception one and she said that it is a bedbug, too) and then he claimed when there are some we brought them. It was really crazy and sometimes even not very logical! So we left him and went back to the front of the hostel because we were waiting for a friend. I said that I will write a bad rating and after one guy heard that he went inside, they put out the wifi and came out and took a picture of us.

  So we came back later that day and the receptionist was about to give away our old room to a new customer. We knew her and told her what happened.

  I'm really shocked by this behavior and I would claim that this is not the way to treat guests. Never again this albergue!

  Albergue do Sol is the second oldest albergue in Finisterre. It has a really cozy atmosphere, you can easily feel at home over there. There are workshops and programs each week, such as community dinner, meditation and workshops. It has a really nice garden where you can pick up some apples while the dogs are running around.

  Lovely albergue! It's a house that was converted to an albergue and it feels like a home. People often stay here for at least a few days

  I felt attracted too it because of the meditation room and spiritual orientation but I didn't like it at all. Only one tiny bathroom for everyone, very small and kind of dirty (1 toilet seat for all the ladies). They put people on the floor in my crumped room. It was cold and there were broken windows without any kind of cover to minimise the coldness at night. It felt so crowed that I didn't even feel like going in the kitchen. I saw only one plug in a room with 7 people to charge the phone, my pillow was bad and I woke up with a pain in the neck... In general, I didn't feel comfortable at all and left quickly. I was going to stay 2 nights and stayed one. Impersonal treatment.
